About Us

We are a group of people interested in addressing the issues
of volunteerism and service to others.

Our purpose is to promote the concept of volunteerism,
as the giving of oneself in time, help & aid to others.

We aim to recruit & refer volunteers to organizations and agencies
while assisting organizations & agencies as consultants
in the training and development of volunteers & service.

What We Do

Our Volunteer Resource Center connects volunteers and nonprofits, works towards social justice and develops emerging leaders. The SoCal Service Corps is about taking action, having a voice and leading by example. As an organization, we strive to ensure that all our programs, events and communications are accessible, social, timely, spirited, flexible, holistic, inclusive and ultimately impactful.

From community service opportunities to youth-leadership-training programs to dialogues with elected officials, the programs we offer are as varied as the interests of its participants. Flexible time commitments
make volunteering easy to fit into an already busy schedule.

WE ARE PARTICIPANT AND PARTNER DRIVEN

Basing programs and initiatives on the needs and interests of the people and organizations we exist to serve...

Individuals looking to get more involved in their community and organizations looking to meet their needs through community engagement.

WE BELIEVE
  • in action and inspiring people to get involved.
  • engaging people to serve in their community is at our core.
  • everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.
  • every accomplishment begins by reaching beyond oneself.
  • in the interdependence of individuals, groups and communities.
